Our client wanted to have a more discrete home for their caravan, but with an existing wooden sleeper retaining wall only 1400mm from the side of their house they were unable to fit it anywhere but the front yard.

 

We removed the old wall which was rotting and had started leaning over the years – almost to the point of collapse. We then excavated back another two metres, giving extra length to the area as well as width. They chose a 1.2 metre tall concrete sleeper wall, and needed it engineered as it was supporting both the neighbour’s house and swimming pool on the high side of the block. M.O.S. Wall Construction worked with a certified engineer to ensure that the end result would be safe and provide years of support from all of the pressure against it.

 

The end result was a much neater, cleaner and more usable space – and somewhere that the client could now park their caravan out of the way.
